Meet Katherine Nacario

In this article, we’d like to introduce you to one of our Experience Coordinators, Katherine Nacario.

Also known as Katie, Katherine is part of the Conexus MedStaff team based in the Philippines. She lives in Manila and has worked in healthcare professional recruitment for eight years. As Katie’s younger brother is currently in pursuit of his dreams overseas, she has an innate understanding of what Conexus registered nurses and medical technologists go through when relocating to the United States.

What attracted you to Conexus?

I think it's essential to be part of a company that aligns with my values, and I'm happy to have found that here at Conexus. I am looking forward to being a part of the U.S. journey for our registered nurses and medical technologists.

Which Conexus value (passion, integrity, care and support, family, growth, gratitude) resonates most with you and why?

Integrity is the cornerstone of our character. It encompasses being honest, respectful, and unwavering in our adherence to values. Consistently making positive decisions, even in the absence of an audience, exemplifies the strength of our integrity.

Tell us about your life outside of work.

I find joy in engaging with books and documentaries as they allow for continuous learning. I also embrace the creative process of cooking as a source of fulfilment.

What is a cause that you are passionate about, and how do you give back to your community?

Community service. This encompasses lending a hand to individuals in your vicinity. You have the option to offer your time at homeless shelters, take part in fundraising runs for charitable causes, or contribute to the upkeep of local green spaces. The focus is on creating a positive impact within your community. I recently became part of Brigada Eskwela, where our team actively volunteered our time to perform minor repairs, painting, and cleaning of school campuses. 

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I enjoy exploring different cuisines, immersing myself in Korean drama and anime, embarking on spontaneous road trips, and savoring a good cup of coffee. The coffee and chocolate on my desk will absolutely lift my spirits during the day.

What is your favorite holiday destination?

I love hitting up beaches like Boracay and Palawan. It's a surefire way to boost your overall well-being. Basking in the sun and breathing in the ocean air is fantastic for your mental health. Taking a dip in the water and staying active ramps up mindfulness and ensures you get in some quality physical activity. I've always dreamed of visiting the city of love, Paris. I'd like to explore the different museums, try out delicious pastries, and take a gondola ride through the canals.

Never stop learning.

My family inspires me more than anything.
